With its high roof clad in cedar shingles, wooden screens and sustainable construction, the Park Centre is a beautiful addition to the park.

The design compliments the nearby 18th Century Garden Pavilion and along with the water feature, planting, and views of the park this makes a lovely place to sit, relax, and enjoy the ambience.

There are wardens dedicated to looking after the park, say hello if you see them; if you would like to speak to them and they are not in the park then you’ll probably find them in the park office.

Play in Hillworth Park - on the tyre swing

There are lots of opportunities for sport and play at the park regardless of your age, with facilities for  individual pursuits or group games.

Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget that it is a beautiful place to relax afterwards too.

Bird on a branchDuring our consultation prior to the park renovation the aviary was listed as one of the most popular reasons for visiting the park - so we decided to keep it, albeit with some improvements like an increased flight area.

We have a variety of species including budgerigars, cockatiels, finches and quail, and as these have settled in they have started to breed so we have some young additions too.

Please don’t feed the birds as they are on a particular diet.
